one eye
I have an 82 GL Brat, that will sometimes run and sometimes wont. The problem is Spark, but the fusable links, fuse, and all the wires are on right. I even tried a different Coil. I am about out of Ideas at this point, It never had this problem before but just started out of the blue. There was no water or anything that would have made this happen, there isn't even any corrosion on anything. Any Ideas would help. Jeff
GeneralDisorder
The distributor could have an intermittant ignitor failure. Try swapping it out. GD
Cougar
Check the minus side of the coil with a test light probe while cranking the engine. You should see pulses of light there. If the light is just on and not flashing then you need to check the sensor in the disty and the ignitor for a problem. If you have no light there then see if there is power on the plus side of the coil. If you have light there then the coil is open.
