Skip
Guessing this is the car in your sig?? The "custom airbox hole" could be causing the primary bore in the carb to ice, at 3k the secondary opens and off you go. Is the exhaust "furnace" pipe connected and the flapper in the snorkle working? Is the "air box hole" plugged for winter driving? I am sorry I have never seen an "air box" on a carbed car? torxxx
Skip - Airbox, (theres prolly 100 names for it) you know the place with where the airfilter goes on the hitachi? Thats what I'm talking about. Yes the stovepipe is hookup and working.. I used 3/8 inch thick rubber exhaust hose that we use on our boats.. The hole is also plugged for winter driving. There is one vacumn line under the airbox assembly that I cann't figure out where it goes.. when I looked at it, it was unplugged and I couldnt find where it would have came from. So I took it and plugged it into a unused vac line outlet.. So what makes me wonder, is where that lil bastard came from. its -30 F outside, so I'm ahave to make this a quick look. Anyone have a diagram of the vaccumn setups? Hitachi'd 86 EA82
