NAPA doesn't carry EJ25 brake pads?

Recommended Posts

I don't know if you order from Napa regularly, but the two things I ordered from them online (a clutch cable and a ball joint) took almost two weeks to show up. These orders were several months apart. I didn't pay for fancy shipping, just ground, but even ground should only take 5 days.

I found their website pretty buggy too.

For a '98 Legacy 2.5, I found this: http://www.napaonline.com/NOLPPSE/(S(ragefzevyv32zwm4q50te445))/Results.aspx?Ne=100000&Nty=1&N=2068008+26261+3068022+3999999+101998

Link doesn't work and NAPA doesn't have any EJ25 listings. You must have accessed that some other way than the drop down listing. If you choose 1998, Subaru, and Legacy it only gives the EJ22 option.

How did you get it to come up?

They are *supposed* to have it by tomorrow morning, I hope it's the right thing for my 1996 Legacy Lsi. The first set was wrong.

I believe sometimes the front calipers are different on L's versus Outbacks (we're probably talking 2.2 vs 2.5).

I believe I've run into it even when they are all 15" wheels. But my memory isn't so great.

Sorry, the session expired. Here's how to get the listings:

Go to http://www.napaonline.com/

Click ''SEARCH NAPA CATALOG''

Enter ''Subaru brake pads'' for Search(keyword)

Under ''Refine by Models'' choose ''Legacy''

Under ''Refine by Engine'' choose ''2.5 L 2457 CC H4 DOHC 16 VALVE''

Under ''Refine by Years'' choose ''1998''

Under ''Refine by Category'' choose ''Pads & Shoes''

EDIT: If the info is wrong, blame NAPA, not me. :)

napa may have good, maybe the best, non-OEM products, but i dislike their website. maybe it's just because it's new to me, but i find it difficult to navigate, not terribly logical, and less than satisfying.

Perhaps I should add another disclaimer to my post -- ''If you don't like NAPA's website, contact their webmaster.'' Or maybe I need a generic sig line -- ''Any link provided in my post shouldn't necessarily be taken as an endorsement of the linked website's contents.'' :)

yeah it is, he's not talking about your link OBW. it's pretty stupid when OBW finds brake pads one way that aren't listed at all when you search the way i did. not very efficient to have multiple database searches that aren't the same.
