na na na i like the idea you have going but the car is too new frog.

yes nothng is set in stone this is just another one of my projects starting out just as the coupe i have now was it will be done when i get all the peices and some spare time to do it chopping a brat rear and fitting it to a coupe or something thats alot alot alot of work i know you may think its the right way to do it but honestly the brat is already a truck no reson to use it on something els. chopping a subaru coupe,xt6,imp is something different thats what im about i assure you bill and i will make it strong some people seriously under estimate how strong the subframe really is and it wont take much to make it safe and strong oh and most of all look bittchen not wanting to step on toes i really like all the feed back thanks guys this thread will keep going

If you want to think about an XT/6 coupe, you can have my XT-T shell, but it would be missing the suspension all around (rear trailing arm too) and some interior bits. Figure I might offer since I'm just going to chop it up anyway.

ah, you little bugger lol! i was gonna find that, they made that quite a few years ago me thinks, up in north in manchester, they specialise in making widebody 22b replicas for normal imprezas

the ironic thing is the drawing looks pretty much exactly the same as the photo!

I had the same idea. Had a bit of a play with photoshop and this was what i came up with.

Before: 1988 Touring wagon, 3" lift kit, 215/80/15's

After: Lifted L Series ute

I thought it turned out ok. What do you think?

Cheers Rob

PS. This is my first post. Hi from Australia

Welcome to the board!

Nice photoshop, Ive seen 2 rigs actually done like that, one came out very well done, the other one, not so much...

The ony drawback of starting with a wagon for this chop is the small doors and the window angle is all wrong. This time, by starting with a Coupe, we will get a much nicer overall finish and things will be more proportional.

Welcome to the board! Very nice L-Series, looks down right niffty with the 6-lug conversion. Hope to see more of ur wagon.

Nice photo chop btw, Bill is right though. Starting with a Coupe' is easier, you don't need to tend with the rear doors. But still looks cool :)

PS: Have you heard of AUSubaru.com? Its an Australian Subaru group. I like it very much, great people just like on here. :)
