The Dude Abides
Ok i removed all door panels so i could remove the door trim on the outside. I noticed as of late tht my drivers window isnt sealing properly. I can hear the wind whistling buy as i drive. Anywho since ive taken the door panel and the trim off i can notice the window rattling down in the door. Is this a common thing or just due to age. Is it possible i might just be able to tighten something up or is the glue comming off the window glass thats hooked to the track. Its an 1988 DL wagon with manual window. Thanks Ben
Niku-Sama
you sure its not rattling because you took the trim and door pannel off? the top edge of the door pannel has the dew wipe thingies that help keep the window from rattling aswell
The Dude Abides
No i understand this but if you put 2 fingers on the window you can move it back and forth.
mcbrat
No i understand this but if you put 2 fingers on the window you can move it back and forth. that sounds right. the top edge does hold the window in place... as far an not sealing well when rolled up all the way, if it's like the ea81 doors, there are 2 adjustable stoppers near the top of the door that limit the upward travel.
