Truckerman666
Has anyone here heard of Mangel wheels? I just bought a set of 4 lug white spoke wheels in a junk yard today. I thought they were genuine Subaru wheels until I got them home They were manufactured in 2001, in Brazil. Is it possible that they still make wheels for old 4 lug cars ? davebugs
I believe I have a set or two for air cooled VW's. 4 lug cars and I may have had a set for even older 5 lug VW's with the really large centers up through 67. I think they were somewhat popular, lower budget wheels back in the day. Thin chrome and all. I remember waxing them when new and the chrome was paper thin and there still were what looked like sanding or grinding marks/scratches in the part of the wheel that shows the most that is where you'd really want it smooth and shiny. Now that I think of it they may be what is on my '79 Beetle Convertible. But I'm hardly a wheel expert.

Truckerman666
no pics yet, but they are white spoke wheels, i thought they were subaru wheels untill i got them home and looked at the mfr. date, 2001. They are still in pretty good shape, only a little rust. I will paint them any way. $60 in a junkyard, all from the same car, and 1/2 worn out tires to! After i get them done, I will have two of the Subaru white spokes and some black stock wheels if any one needs them. I have been looking for white spokes for a long time, this a good find for me. I got 4 wheels, 3 center caps, 2 almost new headlights, and an instrument cluster, for $115.00, I let them keep the tires, lol
