gpilot
Greetings: I need to replace the driver's side rear shock on my wife's 88 Justy 4WD. Looking for info, are the 89 - 94 different than the 87 - 88? How about the difference with and without 4WD? It would make my search much easier if there were more options for a donor car. I bought one from the local boneyard from their last 4WD, but it was shot. Wanted ad placed here in Classifieds. Thanks for your help.
ferox
I think they are the same, but I am not sure. Most of the ones you get at the junkyards are fairly shot. I have tried to find replacements from other vehicles to no avail. If you have welding skills and access to a welder you could weld up some brackets for the lower mount to accept a more universal design. That is what I plan to do. If you haven't checked out the Justy forum yet, you could ask there, someone probably knows. http://subarujusty.proboards.com/index.cgi?
Jerry DeMoss
2wd and 4wd are the same I have compared them both. Dampening is the same as well.

That opens up a local option to find a 2wd. Funny how Subaru gives them different part numbers, 4wd vs 2wd.
