Heya all, I got the switch that comes on when you pull the 4WD hi & lo lever loose somehow, the plastic that holds the switch in fell apart an I don't know what it looks like, anyone have a pic of theirs that isn't broken or even a repair idea to keep it in place?

Thanks!

I just finally got my switch mounted back up today. The switch that came with the BRAT was brittle and broken. then after the lift kit, i ended up breaking the spare switch i got from Mick due to it hitting the bump stop too hard due to the change with the lift kit. today i used hacksaw, grinder, etc and got my linkage all sorted out so it is not forcefully hitting the switch and killing it.

No pictures, as my camera is MIA. I think i know what you are talking about. the switch either breaks on the back side, or else the mount tabs break.

yeah thats it. My Brat had that exact connector, but every switch i have comes across since then has single prong round connectors.

I have retained my connector but have had to splice all the other switches to my connector.

Is this the switch you are making reference to?

If it is then I am pretty sure I don't need this one since I have a 5sp D/R waiting to go in and I do believe that the switch that triggers 4 hi/low is on the trans.

Yes that is the one, thx for the pics! I was just wanting to get an idea of how it USED to look!

I can probably get it in there and working again, and mine is just like your picture, but I have the 5sp D/R tranny too in my Brat and I can see that it was just a flimsy connection, I might just take some tubing and thread it and the switch to make it work, ty.

Gonna wait a bit tho, started raining so just going to troll a bit he he.
