TeamCF
Gonna be sweet. May I suggest a relocation of the radiator for better approach angle? Just figuring if you are gonna do all that may as well address one of the biggest Soob flaws for wheeling. (though with the lift and swampers it gets helped out alot) Alot on my plate these days but if I was closer I'd be down to lend a hand here and there. I'll just have to watch though. Spiffy
wondering how short I should go on the wheelbase, what do you guys think? leave it as a 4-seater... and leave just enough in the back to hang mud flaps and a bumper...
SoobieDoo
You could put a brat jumpseat in place of the rear to help lighten.

I tried out that red paint you brought , its almost the same will be good for the cut edges and weldsm I decided to use the stock front door , it will be gutted and top trimmed down so basically just a skin with hinges and latch
