phillys14
When replacing a fuel filter on a 97 Impreza Outback Wagon, is their a fuel pressure relief switch or shut off switch? Or do you just deal with some fuel when diconnecting lines to the filter? Is there a fuel line reset button or anything to be done after replacing the filter? Anything I'm not thinking of. Thanks. davebugs
You can loosen the gas cap. But you're gonna get fuel. Just place a rag under it to catch the fuel and a rag over it so it doen't spray in your face. After the new filter is installed cycle the key a few times (fuel pump runs) and you're good to go. idosubaru
Yeah this job is so simple it's hardly worth wasting time on. All I ever do is remove the hoses and install the new filter. Wrap it good in a towel as you're removing the hoses, they will initially have some kick but goes away instantly.
