scoobyclimbs, TeamCF, myself and a few guys from another forum. Went out for the weekend. We also had a Jimmy and a Grand Cherokee with us.

Started out in the woods near Newberg and Carlton

In this pic you can see my rear bumper on my roof, yeah it got tore off.:D

It was a big ditch that somebody had tried to close the road with. I was at a good angle going in but i just didnt have the power to get up the other side. When i came back down the bumper bit it, pretty hard.

Here are a couple of videos showing me losing the bumper

We camped up on Mt. Hebo near Pacific City and Hebo.

In the morning got some killer views of the Cascade Range.

Mt. Hood

Mt. Jefferson(I think)

The Three Sisters( On the right, above the treetop)

After the view, we rallied down the mountain.

And went to Sand Lake for some sand action:18:

Pretty much everyone was aired down to 12 psi. it seemed to provide the best flotation.

I got a little more damage. There was a steep hill climb that went up and around a dead stump. Well i got a little close to the stump and slid into it. No worries though.

I got a flat while i was out in the trees by myself. Luckily i come prepared.

It was a rim that i bent while wheeling months ago. I think because i was aired down so low the rubber just ended up not sealing on the bead. Swapped over to my full size spare and 10 mins later i was moving again.

It was a great time. Weather, scenery, wheelin couldnt get much better than this.

I stayed at Sand Lake while the others went up to Tillamook State Forest to do some more wheelin. I hope they got pictures to add here.

Very cool, It would be fun to roll with you guys down there, looks like you guys all had a blast. Also its good to see that there is life after the GL models, I loose sleep at night worrying about what we are all going to do in the next 10 years once they are all gone..............

BTW I like the sound of your green legacy sounds.:banana::grin:

Didn't get as many pics as I should have but here's a few.

I was tail gunner most of the day as I had the biggest CB But the fact I also had the only WORKING CB made it kinda pointless later. hehe So later in the day I took up second place so I could give Gregg hand signals as I had the GPS but he was leading.

Going down a fun little trail at the back of the pack. After a break we came back up the trail but the Blazer and Jeep for some reason didn't wanna do it.

On the beach at Cape Kiwanda.

Our "families in minivans filter" at the campsite. Had to drive through it to get in and out. Filled with mosquitos. Got the fire going right away to drive them off.

Scoobyclimbs getting dizzy in a bowl.

There was a tree stump sticking out near the top of a dune. Seems the game was to go up drive around it and come back down. So I played too. My little EA81 ran out of oomph and I kinda used it as a pivot point. Oh well. Thats what I bought it for.

Great times. My new tires worked great. The bigger size and more agressive tread proved to be a bit much for my engine in the sand but it still got around pretty good. Just lost steam on the bigger climbs it used to make.

And having the spare out of the car was nice for hauling gear, so the new rack worked great as well. Didn't get to do any real night wheeling so I didn't get to play with my rock lights. (but I already knew those worked great from previous trips at night)

On the way back it was getting late (my Fiancee was DJing a club and I had to get back I time to be the groupie) and I was toast so the stop at TSF/Browns Camp was merely a rest to strech the legs.

They had the orange fire danger closure signs up but a guy on an ATV said the place was packed that day and the sheriff was out there and not hasseling anyone.

============

haha! Went and popped the hood. Oily!

Seems the front crank seal let go at some point in the trip. Oh well that engine has been shot for awhile now, just been milking it's rod knocking butt for all it's worth. Time to put the spare back together and drop it in. :)

In some of these next videos you can hear my engine cutting out around 4500 rpm. Im thinking its my MAF sensor, it was wanting to idle at 2000 and cut out at 4500
