The Dude Abides
Ive noticed lately that my resoner is rattling and loose. I was thinking about just cutting this out and replaceing it with either a straight pipe, cherry bomb, or something else along those lines. Heres the kicker. I have my cat and my stock muffler and id like to keep it as reasonably quiet as possible. If i replace this thing with either of my choices am i going to drasticaly change the exhaust tone. LPGsuperchargedBrumby
i replaced my midpipe resonator last week.....i put a straight thru cherrybomb (known here as a hotdog) muffler on it....its noticeably quiter than with the resonator on one thing i found interesting was that the pipe downstream of the resonator was twin walled....one pipe inside the other
mudduck
Replaced one on a BRAT I had years ago with a straight pipe, didn't really effect the exhaust tone. I hollowed the one out thats on my loyale and got rid of the rattling.
