phillys14
I'm planning on towing my 97 impreza 4WD on a car dolly with the front two wheels on the dolly. I was told that diconnecting the drive line would be required. Anything special about disconnecting it or fairly simple. Anything to be concerned about? Thanks. idosubaru
what i typically do is unbolt it where it meets the rear diff. EJ vehicles have a nice plate right in front of that that will hold the driveshaft for you essentially. all i do is remove the 4 bolts and nuts and that's it. there will be some light metal against metal sound, but when you bolt it all back up it's no big deal. if you're just towing once, i'd do that. if you're doing this often, like you're a big RV person, then you want to actually remove the rear half of the driveshaft - 8 bolts (4 on each end) with the plate needing to be removed as well. Olnick
Good info. Do you think it might be of interest to those who read the New Generation Of Subaus forum?
