After getting some parts a week ago for my RX (thanks to those involved)

I've been steadily getting it prepped and painted and ready for the Show.

The fenders are almost done and the hood is almost there on prep.

I have some other stuff in the works also, but thats going to have to wait till the Show ;)

Lots of rock chips.

This piece goes between the bumper and headlights and is pretty rusty.

It should look new when I'm done.

XT mirrors... HAWT!

Ah, you noticed ;)

Those need repainted too.

Hella supertones too, looking good Rob. What wheels you got going on there?

Had the Hellas for a while now.

The wheels are 17" ADR Sokudos.

are you going to paint the wiper arms black

Repaint

Seems like I do it every year about this time.

Nice islands on that hood. You do know you'll see them all after you paint it right? Thats why I wanted to strip it down to metal and them spray it:horse:

Thats what filler is for, right?

I'll try and feather them all out first tho.

That just gives him a reason to go play with his power toys again.

You betcha

Everywhere where there's metal showing will basically be a low spot compared to the areas where there's still paint. You don't really feel anything but you will see it once you paint it. It'll look very wavy and I know how much of a stickler you are about it being basically perfect.

I know what you're shooting for which is why I said something:lol:

Oh and while you're in there, might as well remove the factory horns since they're no longer plugged in are they? Maybe I should get a couple cans of rubber undercoating and do the fenderwells while we've got it apart, aye?

I agree.. Black is the hardest car color to repaint. It shows any imperfection in the surface.

Got a friend that used to do body work until he developed allergies to the chemicals. Anyways, he hated doing Black vehicles, they took way to long to get right.

also you gonna hit that rust under the battery tray on that inner fender while your at it, wire brush self etching primer and rubberized undercoating works good i have found out.

Already been done. Wire brushed all the rust off, hit it with Rustoleum primer then used some industrial undercoating.

Russ, do you think I will still have low spots even if I use the filler?
