NHbrat
i live in concord new hampsire and was woundering if anyone had a brat for sale nearby. I sold my last brat last summer and need another one. My old brat was a gen 2 gl, it was rusty and there wasnt much left of the exhaust (just the y-pipe) and the transmission didnt like 3rd gear, but it was one of the funnest trucks i have ever owned and im only 19. So if anyone has info on a brat for sale in new hampsire please let me know. Im gonna have about $800 to $1000 to spend. thanks:D
GeneralDisorder
Anything you get for $1,000 in your area will be awful rusty I'm afraid, or massively beat up. They are commanding a price now - in good shape - $3,000 - sometimes more. Keep looking tho. Out here in Subaru country, a Brat is a rare find under $1,000. northguy
Too far away? I flew to Portland and drive mine back up the Alcan - 2,400 miles. No where is too far to drive for a good Brat.
GeneralDisorder
You got lucky - believe me. My point is that you won't find one HERE for that price. Because people on here know what they are worth. If you find one for that low of a price, then the owner is either really desperate, or not very knowledgeble. And if any board members find one for that price, they are gonna snatch it up, and resell it. Or keep it. GD
moosens
Anything you get for $1,000 in your area will be awful rusty I'm afraid, or massively beat up. Not always true GD. You're right that for the price it'll be hard but not impossible to find something to beat around with.I'm sure even at 19 that he knows his money isn't getting one like StuartC's was. That one was absolutely worth $3000 here and then some IMO. But,to find a Brat that isn't rotted all over isn't *that* hard. They'll have a few years left in them as long as the crossmember isn't rotted or the shock-strut towers. NH,Too bad you won't come down here to CT.There's still a few down on the shoreline.I get at least 2-3 calls a year from guys with them either looking for parts or to sell their Brat.I still have one guy's number.I'll call and check for you if you want but he's down on here somewhere, like near Middletown if I remember right. Also there's a Brat in Enfield F/S by a board member. It's the one posted here and it looks like there's a bidder. Is that you Louis bidding on Chris' Brat?? There's several in the Hartford area as well.Mostly east of the river.Good luck kid.

rkmastiff
I have an 85 brat i may be interested in selling. I have got to repair choke before i will sale it to anyone tho. New heater core and heater control valve, 2 new front tires, new muffler, has topper, have receipts for the engine where the guy before me purchased from napa auto and installed, (has approx 34k on it now). Runs excellent smooth and quiet. Body has one rusted area below left door and one small area that has just started behind right rear wheel well. Dash is perfect, no ac. I do have an 84GL 2wd car that will go with it also. It has the ea81 engine and ac and pwr steering on it. Has blown head gasket on the car. I have clear titles on both vehicles. Have receipts for front and rear supension that has been installed, and catalytic converter other parts etc..... Body has dents on it. I have driven the brat back and forth to work since i have bought it, have had no problems with it other than a fuel pump that failed and the choke that i haven't installed yet. I have installed the fuel pump and filter then the choke failed. $1600 will purchase it right now unless i invest more into it. Excellent brat to invest into.
