BluetoE
Ok I have looked for hours and can't seem to find where this vacuum hose is supposed to go (red arrow): It is the lower hose coming out of a rust colored connector under the passenger side of the intake manifold. There is a very long hose attached to the connector and I can't find where it goes. Any ideas?
davebugs
Not ringing any bells for me. Perhaps someone else knows. A pic of the back side of the intake (lower left in the existing pic - behind intake for cyl#3) would show whether there is a T in the line back there and other lines. Do all lines appear accounted for? Sometimes I end up with a plug in the top hole (of the 2 holes) in the intake above cylinder #3, sometimes I don't. I just work through each one. I'm shutting down for the night. Hopefully someone can recognize this and assist you.

BluetoE
Would this hose being disconnected cause a P0400 CEL? It's the last code I'm getting and it's new. Started when I unplugged this hose from the barometric pressure sensor to clear the P0401
johnceggleston
i could be very wrong, but i think it is supposed to go to a "t" which also connects to the " filter" in the picture that is connected to the manifold. and then a third piece of hose goes to the manifold. check your old engine for the "t". please correct, if wrong. davebugs
I believe that you may be correct. Thus my request for a photo of that area behind the intake for cyl#3. I guessing either he's missing the T or the plug is in the manifold (where the 2 holes are close together above cyl#3) and he needs to remove the plug and put in a nipple. BluetoE
I will take more pics tomorrow and give as much more information as I can. I disconnected the negative battery cable and the code is gone for now. \ Thanks!
lmdew
There is always 1 extra hose on the swaps! Plug it and tuck it under the manifold.
johnceggleston
does this help? ( taken from the passenger side, strut tower) you you can't see the 3rd leg of the "t" but it's under there and goes to the same place in the other picture.
