Uberoo
What cools better an ea81 two core radiator or a single core legacy radiator?

GeneralDisorder
Most likely the legacy radiator. Number of cores is only one factor. Dimensions and construction techniques are just as important. Without having actual thermal rejection specifications it's really impossible to tell. But being that the EJ22 uses larger radiator hoses, more coolant, and is a larger, more powerful engine, it's a safe bet that it is designed to reject more BTU's than the EA81 radiator. slideshow86
Very good question!! Even better answer! I REALLY didnt want overheating issues with my GL-10 so when I first got it I added a dual core, twin push fans, one constantly running and one that triggers at 205 deg F and a new waterpump. 100k later and I havent overheated once. I have been in many situations when I though I would have but the 2nd fan is really a nice touch, I dont even have to pay attn to a temp and flip a switch! But Im glad you asked as I may free up a little space and add a legacy radiator when I drop in an EJ
subaruguru
definatly go with a Leg rad when you do an EJ swap it takes a little bit of work to get it to fit but in the end its what the engine came with and it workes fine so why mess with it right .
