t4truboxt6
i got a 89 2.7 awd xt6, and it wont shift in to 3 or 4 but the fluid is red like it should be and does not smell burnt. could it be the valve body gone bad or going bad? what i got planned im going to sleeved it and drop the it to a 7 to 1, put a 3t and a t4 turbos, and titanium springs, valves and rocks arms, and a custom titanium head gas it as well, and forged pitons and mally rings. im shear i can find every thing but im trying see if someone has did this and/or know about that it will ran me and where i can find the parts. i cant start of this till i get my trans fixed, but there again im looking at pushing 500-700hp, so does any one now where i can get a high flow valve body, and forged inner for the trans as well. idosubaru
i'm all about innovation and trying stuff, but just making sure you know the lack of reliability and other issues. bare with the party pooper for a moment. the ER27 is a horrible platform for forced induction/power. if you just want to do it and don't care how reliable it is or the fact that you'll get half the horsepower at twice the cost of other options then that's cool. the 4EAT won't hold the power you're talking about if you're actually using it. join us over at the subaruxt.com forum. zukiru
^^+1 id you want 300 or better HP you need to build an EJ22t. (and you may want to put in a turbo tranny too.)

idosubaru
if you just need the thing driveable you can unplug the transmission wiring harness and it'll run in 3rd gear all the time. only probably with that is it's also "locked" 4wd then. you can either disconnect the rear half of the driveshaft or wire in a switch (only one wire) to control the Duty C solenoid. This is all as easy as making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich compared to your turbo build.
