Hi, my name is DirtDiver, this is my first post as i am new to the site.

I recently bought a Subaru Justy II 1999; it's the AWD 1.3 one, I bought it because i like the sound of the AWD and the grip that comes with it.

I would like to do some modifications to it to make it look much better. Is there any cheap and easy mods people know of for my car?

Any Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!!

I'll forwarn you ahead of time - most of the users of this board are in the US and unfortunately we never received the Justy II here. I don't know if there are message boards that are more friendly towards that model or not, but here it is almost unknown. In fact I would say this is the first post that I've ever seen mentioning a "Justy II". The Justy in the US ended in the early to mid 90's and Subaru has not decided to fill that niche market up again - they don't import anything that small anymore.

Bugger, i've had the same problems over here. it was originally a japanese import i believe. I'm finding problems when trying to fit an air induction kit to it because of the weird engine layout, lots of our engineers are stumped... not good for me. Ah well, thanks anyway guys. I'll still post stuff to keep you in the know about my Justy II. It'll be a bit of useful knowledge for us all.

Depending on just which year you call a Justy generation 2 in the UK will vary just which rebadged model it is.

Gen 1 and Gen 2 were rebadged Suzuki models (Cultus in japan,Swift in Aus and I believe the UK and both Chevy sprint or Justy in the North American market.

Gen 3 was based on the Suzuki Ignis~Baleno model range

Gen 4 is based on variants from Daihatsu/Toyota,Daihatsu is owned by Toyota and these days only produces Trucks.

With both Gen 1 and 2 look at Suzuki for parts, try looking at either Redline GTI (Aus)or Teamswift (UK)forums for more detailed info regarding these Suzuki based models,in the US you also have the option of the Chevy Sprint Turbo engines as well as the Suzuki G13B 100 HP NA 1300cc 16 valve Twincam.

Gen 3 was based on the Baleno/Ignus and was available up to 1800cc.

Bodykits are not to hard to find if you look at Suzuki, the problem lies in asking for it as a Subaru when it is most likely a rebadged Suzuki variant you have and suppliers just don't know.

Hope this helps to guide somewhat,I know this because I also own a Suzuki GTI SA413 MK 1 as well as Subaru's

We never got a suzuki based justy here in the states.

The Chevy sprint and Suzuki Swift that we got here are completely different from our Justys.

*(the sprint name was dropped in 88? and reintroduced as our Geo Metro based on the Swift)
