Greenley
So as to not flood the forum with a bunch of posts, i'll use this thread for any questions that are sure to arise : '91 EJ22 w/ Matching harness and ECU going into an EA81 chassis. B48 "A" connector, Pin 15. It's called FB-17 Power. What is an FB-17? Edited September 4, 2009 by Greenley change of direction
Numbchux
I don't have the diagrams in front of me. but I can tell you that that refers to a fuse. It'll be listed in the "power supply routing" page of the wiring diagrams, where you can trace whether it's a switched or constant source.
Greenley
Thanks chux. After some more reading of the FSM pages, it is clear that the FB prefix refers to position in the fuse-box. I'm clearly a moron.

Psyko
I'm clearly a moron. Oh Pete, you must not say these things. It's better to just live in denial. Seriously though, I can't recall anybody, in chat, being of any use on the matter. Edited September 5, 2009 by Psyko
Greenley
Hardy har har, you clowns. So i've got this brown diode, with four wires coming out of it. LG, WR, RL, and Y... The yellow goes to the alt... It's important. I remember a Grey diode, that was easily removable, on blahblahblah's 1990 harness. It was more like a thumbdrive... Suberdave and i were discussing the utilization of using it as a killswitch. Without it, you're not starting the vehicle. I don't remember a brown one in his... Sooo, did the color and design of said volt controlling diode change between 90 & 91, or am i missing something in my harness ???
Numbchux
I don't remember a gray one. that brown thing is actually 2 diodes. the WR and RL wires are for the A/C or something......I cut the wires off short. the other 2 are for the self-shutoff control. Y gets power while the key is on, Lg to the ECU/Main relay. you can cut it out, just send the source straight to the relay, that's how I set it up in my Loyale, but I prefer leaving it as it was designed, and every harness I've done since uses it.
