glcoupeguy
so i pulled the fuel line hose to replace it and realized i had bought the wrong size. i put it back on and lost oil pressure... i was pissed because an oil pump on an EA82 is 150 bucks. i decided to start the car today and i had pressure! bad news is i went ahead and replaced the hose and lost pressure again. im confused. GeneralDisorder
The gauge and sending unit are electrically coupled. Chances are you just found a wireing short or loose connection while you were changing the hose. GD
glcoupeguy
i also replaced a vacuum hose and fuel return line as they were all showing signs of wear. i didnt touch any wiring and the oil pump sensor is on the other side. could air in the fuel line cause the ecu to function improperly? GeneralDisorder
ECU has nothing to do with the oil pressure gauge. GD
