mikejk
Just bought this 05 Outback with the Dual zone climate control, Ive been reading up about it online and find out that is has all sorts of issues, one I'm concerned with is the passenger side never gets warm air, I could set it to manual mode, crank the passenger side to 85 and I'm lucky if I get it slightly warm while the drivers side is set to 70 and blowing all types of warm air, even if I put both to 85 in either manual or auto mode the passenger vents (all of them..defrost, vent, and floor) only blow cool air. I'm hoping there is some way to get some warm air over there before winter sets in. I never thought I would miss the heater/AC in my 91 Loyale wagon but that worked flawlessly. Cougar
From what info I have seen so far it seems to indicate that there may be a problem with the air blend door for that side and it is controlled by vacuum air. Make sure the air line is working to it. If that is good then the door may be stuck.
mikejk
It feels like it is an air mixing problem, any idea where the vacuum line/passenger air control is located. I'm hoping I don't have to rip the whole dash apart.
Cougar
It is most likely under the dash on the passenger side. If you work on this yourself I suggest you purchase at least a CD service manual for the car. You can get them on Ebay for a reasonable price.
