BRATDUDE
I purchase this car that was wrecked, a 2003 forester. I changed the abs actuator, unplugged the main electrical connection. I bled all lines and made sure everything is back in place as before, now the light on the abs is on. How can i get it off?
nipper
Do a search here on Antilock brakes and something should come up on how to read the codes. Why did you replace all those parts? Odds are a wheel sensor is eroded and giving a bad wheel speed reading or a broken tone ring. nipper

BRATDUDE
Thanks for the reply. This forester was hit in the right side, it hit the actuator and moved it out of it holder. I thoguht it would be best to do the exchange while i had it apart. I had a 2004 that i am using parts from. I am a decent mechanic, but what are you refering to as the tone ring? All of my fluids are normal, no leaking. I am here in fl, with no rust or salt, so the sensors shoud be ok. But who knows. Any help i would appreciate. By the way, i can pull a ob check for the engine, how can i check for the abs light, i know there is another plug under the dash beside the obs connection. What is this for, anyone know> thanks again
