Hooper
Well, I recently had a brand new Westin brush guard given to me for free. It was an Advance display unit, and I'm pretty sure it fits a late model Dakota. My buddy didn't need it, so I took it, thinking I would just give it to someone or something like that, but the more I looked at it the more thinking I did....so now I have another project, lol. My plan is to cut a couple inches out of the center and re-weld it, then fab up some brackets to fit the Brat. I'll have to do some tweaking/cutting on the headlight grilles/gaurds too, apparently a second gen Brat has wider headlights than a Dakota. Pics and progress coming soon. TheSubaruJunkie
That is gonna be HUGE! Maybe instead of hacking it up, find someone who can use it. they'd probably pay big bucks for it, and then use that money to get something more custom for the EA81. Markus56
I did something like that, but with a smaller guard on an EA82 The main thing you are going to run into is weight. If you look at a side view of my rig, the back sits higher than the front. And my guard looks like it weighs less than yours. But now that i think about it, i have 2wd struts in the back...but that only lifts the back by 1.5 inches Edited September 11, 2009 by Markus56
