Attractor1 Posted September 9, 2009 Share Posted September 9, 2009 Having carb/choke problems 1984 GL Hatch, Weber carb, it doesnt start very easy when cold, i have to manually push choke flaps down to engage cold start sequence, after it has been warmed and run, it will sit for a couple hours and then i will go to start it and it idles dangerously low and will jump and sputter until warm againincorrect choke setup? please help, school starts tomorrow and i dont want any problems haha Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GeneralDisorder Posted September 9, 2009 Share Posted September 9, 2009 Adjust the choke so that it barely closes all the way when cold. You will have to hold the throttle open slightly to allow the choke to clear the fast idle cam so you can accurately set it. If that's not enough then set it slightly harder.
