But my thought on it is, getting a battery that is huge compared to whats in it, would put a strain on the Charging system. Its only a 60amp alt.

sorry, i missed your reply for a few days here. Actually it is backwards to that, because if you run a bunch of crap, the battery acts like a capacitor in the system that the alt can charge later when you aren't running 8 forward facing lights at idle down a trail when the alt is only able to put out 20-30Amps at that low rpm. your standard alternator should put out it's rated amperage at 22-2500 (engine) rpm.

Got a lot closer to detailing my new (to me anyway) 96 impreza outback, naval jellied every immediate part under the dash (as in actually removed the bottom of the dash)

almost done cleaning the gunk out of all the holes everywhere,

vacuumed the living crap out of it and foamed the carpet,

stripped the back,

took the rear carpet out,

tightened up this and that under the hood and changed the power steering fluid...

car makeover... seriously it is a different car..

oh and.. got a battery holder.. thing...

TheLoyale That thing looks sweet with those tires! Did you have a chance to test them out yet? :burnout:

If you call passing a riced out eclipse on the shoulder of the road (Mud/snow/dirt) testing them out, then yes.

I think dude was shocked I passed him driving off the road  This dude had to keep stopping to a crawl other wise he would wreck his bumper.

I still need to paint them and I want to replace the 2 subi studs with the 2 newer longer ones so it matches on the drum.

I also got the 85 gl wagon lifted and new stuts put on the front, oil changed, tranny oil changed, interior done, startin to look sweet.

Did a seal job, timing belt, clutch, and lift. Still leaks oil. blah. The front wheels still have a inward camber despite the 15 degree block angle. Is this typical? Also took out the AC and put a bracket in where the AC pump used to be. I then ran one belt over all pullys instead of two. Will this work out alright and give enough pressure to turn the water pump well?

Thanks to The Dude Abides for wheels!

You will notice after driveing a bit that the camber will settle. If it didnt, then you might of not cut the blocks right or you might have them on the wrong side. Just a few things to consider, your welcome for the wheels and i would love to see a picture of everything done. The one you posted isnt showing up.
