well it depends on who owned them before i get them or ryan gets them. this xt has been a problem child so to speak from day one. alot of it was from previuos owner. and the xt was from new jersey.

ryan bought the xt first then i got it from him. he fixed eletrical and mechincal issue. they stripped tensioner bolts for the timing belts. and instead of fixing it. the rewired the injectors to match instead of retiming it. :-\

and most of the older subarus here. are mostly fwd. and thats it. in NC. i dont think you will no where near the problems we do here.

At least you don't have ea82 rear tubeframes rust so badly wheels almost fall off

Oh the joy of finding that out when I got it home. all 4 injectors were wired to fire at once, but only wired into 1 pin on the ecu. Dude said it ran to:confused:

Got the lifted '84 wagon running with a beastly 1987 49-states EA81 engine.

Addressed the ridiculous amount of vacuum leaks/3k idle.

Power mirror rewiring (pups, uggg)

New radiator and a really nice dual electric fan set to a switch.

Got the third eye wired up to the stock switch.

Ready for tabs!

i'm stoked, as she was rode hard and put away filthy, years ago.

oh. i was gonna reply to the above.. but just a heads up wisconsin technically does require both plates to be displayed. its section 341.15 most of the time no one is gonna care, unless they are lookin for something else. i've been stopped twice for not havin a front plate.

341.15(1m) (1m)

341.15(1m)(a)(a) Except as provided in par. (B), any registration decal or tag issued by the department shall be placed on the rear registration plate of the vehicle in the manner directed by the department.

(1) (B) shall be placed on the front registration plate of the vehicle in the manner directed by the department.

341.15(2) (2) Registration plates shall be attached firmly and rigidly in a horizontal position and conspicuous place. The plates shall at all times be maintained in a legible condition and shall be so displayed that they can be readily and distinctly seen and read. Any peace officer may require the operator of any vehicle on which plates are not properly displayed to display such plates as required by this section.

Made a new pitchbar for the lowered x-member. Welding could be bter but eh, who cares

driving the car with the crossmember lowered made a huge difference, since my suspension is kinda mushy, when i got on the gas the front end lifts up a bit from the ej25 torque and once i hit like 3000 rpms the power just wasnt there. well.. my axles were stretched out to the max. (already ripped a boot on my new F'in axle!; pre blocks)

the outback lift blocks lowered the crossmember probably like 1-1.25". the steering joint i used was from a 98 impreza, but the alignment holes were different so i had to pull my steering wheel and aim it right.

Well, after 2 days 850 miles, 2 hours sleep and a lot of waiting around, O finally got one of my BRATs down to LA to work on. Cannot wait til I get new keys and registration for it so I can fix it back up.

Also, put another dent in my Outback out wheeling the other day, just glad I was lifted as it was my rocker that got it and had I not been lifted would have gottten stuck.

time for bed

Chances are the floorboard is now like swiss cheese (Or will be once you sit in it) Midwest/east coast is hard on these uni-bodies for sure.

Doesn't look to have a hood, I wonder whats grown around the motor lol...

my timing belts are fine.

the hood is there just not on.

only the engine block plus the internals are there.

i found out who owned it and gonna try to get a hold of him to see if he'll get rid of it.

i want to buy it for the good parts that are on it.

Less than 5 miles away from me.
